Abstract

Continuing economic disparities, the collapse of key industries, skills and demand mismatches on the labour market and political instability have been among the key drivers of emigration from the former Yugoslav countries in the last decades. Within these flows, Slovenia represents an important country of immigration due to existing historical, cultural and linguistic ties, geographical proximity and existing migrant social networks.
