Abstract
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies has led to significant transformations across various sectors, including the legal pro fession. This research explores the integration of AI tools in legal practice, highlighting their role as support systems rather than replacements for hu man expertise. We identified a range of AI-powered tools currently utilized by lawyers, such as advanced legal research platforms, contract analysis sys tems, document automation tools, and predictive analytics used in litigation forecasting. These technologies have the potential to substantially reduce the time required for legal research, document review, and data analysis, there by increasing productivity. While they offer substantial benefits, they also present challenges concerning reliability, ethical implications, accountabil ity for errors, and the potential replacement of part of the support staff who previously worked on data collection from different sources. Given the rapid development of technology, it is necessary to adequately respond and regulate the use of AI in the legal profession, which is not the case in many countries at the moment. The research analyzes the current state of strategies, legisla tion governing AI use across different jurisdictions and identify regulatory gaps. It also reviews emerging guidelines developed by Bar associations to address these challenges. Finally, based on research results, regulatory ap proaches aimed at ensuring responsible integration of AI into legal practice are purposed. The research emphasizes that, despite the AI advancements, the human element remains essential.
