Abstract

In contemporary societies shaped by rapid economic and techno- logical transformations, the concept of human dignity is increasing- ly situated at the intersection of competing normative Frameworks. Religious ethics traditionally understands dignity as an inherent and inviolable value grounded in the sanctity of human life, where- as neoliberal rationality tends to approach dignity through autono- my, choice, and individual resp onsibility . This tension raises impor- tant questions about the stability and meaning of human dignity in late modern societies. This paper examines how human dignity is reconfigured within the dynamic interplay between religious moral Frameworks and neoliberal Forms of governance. In this conte x t, religious ethics is treated as a normative resource that enables a critical reflection on contemporary transformations of human dignity .
