Abstract

TRespecting the political and geo-economic reality, in the last decades of the 20th century until today, the focus has been on people as a significant factor in international relations, political, economic, security and social. The aim of this research paper is to present the notion and concept of human security. With the help of the comparison method, the differences between the presented case studies, which relate to the practice of human security, were observed. In this sense, analysis and comparison form the methodological framework of this paper. The findings of this study point to the conclusion that there is no single definition or concept of human security. The result of this research is that human security models differ from country to country. The conclusion is that greater mobility of people conditioned the need for greater protection of individuals, and the need to create a national strategy on human security. The national strategy is the basis for inclusion in international human security strategies.
